MICHAEL C. GELMAN, CPA
Founding Partner

Michael C. Gelman, a Certified Public Accountant, is the founding partner of Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman. 

Mr. Gelman is Treasurer of United Jewish Communities, the umbrella organization of 156 Jewish Federations throughout the United States and Canada, which raises nearly $2 billion a year in annual contributions and endowment gifts.  He is also Chairman of the Board of The Israel Project and serves on the board of the Jewish Agency for Israel and on the Board of Governors of Hillel International.

Mr. Gelman is a past President of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and a past President of the United Jewish Endowment Fund.  He is a former member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, to which he was appointed by President Clinton, as well as a former member of the Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland, to which he was appointed by Maryland Governor Glendening.

Michael Gelman is on the Board of Directors of Congressional Bank.  A 1967 graduate of the University of Maryland, he and his wife Susie have three children.
