Jerrold Rosenberg, CPA, CFP, is the Vice President of the firm of Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, CPAs and the managing member of its affiliate, GRF Wealth Management, LLC. Mr. Rosenberg’s client base includes for-profit businesses, high wealth individuals and nonprofit organizations. As a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Advisor, he is particularly qualified to address financial planning concerns in a changing business environment, as well as optimum business structure and tax saving strategies. He frequently works with clients on business valuations, succession planning and wealth management. He provides advice on tax compliance, estate planning, and family-owned business to a sophisticated client base.

Mr. Rosenberg has extensive experience in auditing and consulting to government contractors, having worked for eleven years with the federal government, including over four years as an auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency. He has continued his involvement in this field of expertise as one of the firm’s consultants to contractors and grantees, and as an engagement partner for the firm’s audit, compilation and review of financial statements in this specialty.

Mr. Rosenberg has developed and taught courses on current DCAA audit issues, demystifying DCSS and accounting systems for government contractors, including “Contract Accounting Systems for Small Businesses”. He has written articles for professional publications, including “Business Valuations of Government Contractors” and “Internet Sites for Government Contractors”. He also has participated in panel discussions regarding topics such as “Contract Management Issues Associated with the Federal Government”.

Mr. Rosenberg is a founding member of the Maryland Association of CPAs Government Contracts Committee. He is also a member of the National Contract Management Association, the Financial Planning Association, the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County, the former President of Volunteer Partnership Montgomery and currently Chairman of the Board of Hearts and Homes for Youth.
