Sep 25, 2012

Best Accounting Firms to Work For 2012Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman has been named one of the 2012 Best Accounting Firms to Work for by Accounting Today and the Best Companies Group for the second consecutive year. The annual list of “Best Accounting Firms” consists of a total of 100 companies, divided into three categories: small-sized companies (15-49 employees), medium-sized companies (50-249 employees) and large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). Gelman, Rosenberg and Freedman has been named one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work For in the medium category.

“We are honored to receive this achievement for the second consecutive year,” said David F. Graling, CPA, MBA, President and Managing Partner. “It continues to demonstrate the significant pride and enthusiasm our people have, which reflects a solid work environment.”

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places to work for in the accounting profession.

Accounting firms from across the country participated in the two-part survey process to identify the Best Accounting Firms to Work For. The first part consisted of assessing each nominated firm’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an anonymous employee survey to determine the employee experience. The combined scores measured the top firms and the final ranking. The overall registration, survey and analysis process and the final rankings were managed and determined by Best Companies Group.

When selecting an auditor, the Council on Social Work Education sought a firm that could bring the greatest technical expertise to our organization. I remember my first meeting with Terri McKnight. As a new Executive Director, I felt very confident that she and Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman had a handle on the nonprofit industry and could help us make better financial decisions for our environment.
