Wendy Roldan, CPA
Nonprofit Tax Manager
Wendy Roldan, CPA has more than 17 years of nonprofit audit and tax expertise. As tax manager for Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, CPAs, her client responsibilities include tax planning and preparation, as well as providing consulting and tax compliance services to the nonprofit segment of our practice. She also assists with representation on IRS audits and the preparation of IRS ruling requests.
Her past experience includes a position as controller of a Silver Spring, MD-based nonprofit organization where she was responsible for the preparation and execution of two annual audits for the organization and its affiliate. During her tenure, she managed the financial and administrative operations of the organization.
She was also a manager in the Not-for-Profit Solutions Group for McGladrey & Pullen LLP & RSM McGladrey Inc. where she developed solid technical experience in all facets of nonprofit accounting and financial management, including A-133, A-122, GAAP and tax compliance requirements. She reviewed and supervised the preparation of all tax compliance-related deliverables for nonprofit clients in the Bethesda and Frederick, MD and Alexandria, VA offices of the Mid-Atlantic Economic Unit.
