GRF CPAs & Advisors Senior Manager Tricia Katebini has been named a 2021 Woman to Watch by the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA). Tricia received an award in the Emerging Leader category, which honors women who are up-and-coming stars within their organization and the profession.

A MACPA Woman to Watch Honoree in 2019, Tricia has continued to grow as a leader. She is a well-known speaker on technical topics within the nonprofit accounting industry, a champion for the firm’s AI auditing methodology, and a respected expert on technical issues within the firm. Most recently, Tricia was appointed to the AICPA’s Joint Trial Board, a very well-respected position within the CPA community. She also continues to be a champion for the MACPA, bringing awareness to what CPAs do, advocate for legislation for profession.

“Over the past two years that Tricia has been with the firm, I have seen firsthand how she exemplifies the highest standards of excellence in both her professional and volunteer activities,” said GRF President and Managing Partner Jackie Cardello. “At GRF, Tricia continues to be an entrepreneur, thinking ‘outside the box’ to ensure that we stay on top of new technologies, changes in standards, as well as business development practices to meet the current market. She has done all of this while raising a family, running marathons, and being a pleasure of a person to be around.”

At GRF CPAs & Advisors, Tricia is an active mentor of Women on the Move, the firm’s initiative created in 2019 to promote gender parity and to educate, connect, and empower emerging women leaders. As a part of her continued dedication to this movement, she served as a panelist on a Women’s Leadership Roundtable for the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA) this month. She was also a panelist on a webinar held in October 2020 on “Leading in Times of Crisis” and was a hand-selected panelist for MACPA’s Candid Conversations series regarding Core Confidence.
