Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)

Fraud represents a significant risk to organizations and should be addressed through the delivery of effective audit and assurance services. Four professional staff at Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman have earned the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the world’s largest anti-fraud organization, to help the firm’s clients address this concern. Our professionals have presented and written on best practices for avoiding fraud at nonprofit organizations and make it a priority to evaluate internal controls and other areas of risk associated to minimize opportunities for fraud during an audit engagement.

For the past 12 years, the accounting firm of Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman has consistently provided the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) with superior services.  The Gelman, Rosenberg and Freedman team, led by partner Terri McKnight, is knowledgeable about the nuances of the nonprofit industry, as well as attentive and thorough in their responses to any questions and concerns.
