Nomination forms for the 2012 Excellence in Chief Executive Leadership Award (EXCEL Award) are now available. The EXCEL award recognizes up to three outstanding nonprofit executives in the Washington, DC metropolitan region with a $5,000 professional development account. Each winning leader’s nonprofit will also receive a $2,000 grant to provide professional development opportunities to staff. The application deadline is Friday, July 13.
The EXCEL award program is sponsored by Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman CPAs and administered by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement.
Eligible candidates will lead a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of no more than $10 million in annual revenue. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated leadership excellence in innovation, motivation, community-building, inclusiveness, diversity or ethical integrity.
Nominations may be made by staff, board members, volunteers, clients or members of the community. Nominations must be submitted to the Center for Nonprofit Advancement.
Two additional honorable mention candidates will also receive a $1,000 award to support professional development programs for the candidate and his/her staff.
