Mr. Derengowski runs at the Tigerlily Foundation’s Pink BOA 5K

Audit Department Manager Walter Derengowski has joined the Board of Directors of the Tigerlily Foundation, an eight-year-old DC based nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, advocate for, empower and provide hands-on services and support to young women (ages 15-40), before, during and after breast cancer. As board treasurer, Mr. Derengowski will work with other board representatives to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of the Tigerlily Foundation to support the organization’s mission.  Mr. Derengowski has extensive experience advising and supporting public charities with their financial and operational needs, which makes him an ideal treasurer for the Tigerlily Foundation. Mr. Derengowski says “I’m thrilled to be part of such an inspirational organization and I’m looking forward to contributing and helping the foundation further its mission.”

 Mr. Derengowski has nearly ten years of experience auditing nonprofit organizations including public charities, trade associations, private voluntary organizations and other nonprofit institutions. He specializes in identifying risk areas, validating financial statements and reviewing field office compliance with headquarters’ policies and procedures for nonprofits with international operations.  He is dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations succeed and looks forward to implementing his knowledge to help the Tigerlily Foundation move forward with its mission.
