Jorge Estrada, CPA

Biography

Mr. Estrada has worked in accounting and taxes since 1986, serving both the public and private sectors. He began as a junior accountant and rose to become a director/shareholder in the attest practice of the firm. Mr. Estrada’s expertise is in the preparation and review of tax returns for nonprofit organizations. Mr. Estrada is experienced in dealing with issues concerning unrelated business income tax, reporting of related entities and special events, and public support issues that affect nonprofits. He has also directed audits of pension and 403(b) plans covered under ERISA, prepared numerous types of tax forms and is well-versed in Uniform Guidance compliance audits.

As a senior manager in GRF’s Nonprofit Tax department, he is responsible for delivering tax compliance and consulting services to a wide range of tax-exempt organizations, including 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) and 501(c)(6) organizations. He performs technical reviews of reports, keeps the firm current on new audit standards, assists in maintaining the firm’s quality control documents, conducts training for staff and participates in other special projects.
