Since 1983, Mr. Albrecht has concentrated his career on serving the nonprofit community providing annual audit work, tax and management consulting, internal control evaluations, indirect rate submission and the design and implementation of indirect and fringe benefit rates. Mr. Albrecht has been a partner with the firm for more than 25 years and is a frequently-requested speaker on various financial issues of concern to the nonprofit community. The topics of his presentations range from compliance under the OMB circulars to managing federal funds administered in foreign countries.
Recognized as the firm’s leader with respect to work with International Nongovernmental Organizations (INGO), Mr. Albrecht has traveled throughout the world on behalf of the firm’s INGO clients. His work has taken him to more than 100 countries and encompasses both audit work, specifically the review of field office internal controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as compliance with specific donor policies and consulting. He works with local audit firms in approximately 30 countries around the world to ensure INGOs are in compliance with the local laws of their respective countries.
As part of his service to the international nonprofit community, Mr. Albrecht and GRF were recognized with Humentum’s 2019 OpEx Industry Award. This award recognizes teams who understand the unique challenges with the INGO sector and are dedicated to creating a positive social impact through innovation, collaboration and dedication.
B.A. in Accounting and B.A. in Economics Management with a Minor in English, Ohio Wesleyan University
