Nonprofit tax principals Stephen J. Kelin and Richard J. Locastro provided an in-depth analysis of the structural changes anticipated on IRS Tax Form 990, as well as three guiding factors behind the redesign including:
- Enhancing transparency
- Promoting compliance
- Minimizing the burden for filing organizations
Mr. Kelin and Mr. Locastro also explained when nonprofits will be expected to utilize the new Form 990 and provided a review of the core form including different schedules. This presentation was hosted by Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman several times throughout 2009 due to strong interest.
