GRF To Present Fall Roundtable Seminar
How the New IRS Form 990 Impacts Your Organization
You are invited to attend a free seminar provided by Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, CPAs (GRF) that focuses on the significant changes to the IRS Form 990.
It’s being called “the biggest thing the IRS has done in the last twenty years.” The goal of the new Form 990 is to significantly increase the transparency of exempt organizations – including much more information on governance and executive compensation. The form also provides added opportunities for your organization to explain its activities in detailed narratives that may be read by parties other than the IRS, including the press, donors, competitors, etc. The new form will be used for the 2008 tax year for returns filed in 2009.
Join us, as two nonprofit tax specialists from Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, Stephen Kelin, CPA, JD, and Richard Locastro, CPA, JD, explain exactly how the form has changed and provide practical tips on completing the new Form 990 and interpreting the many new instructions (which run over 300 pages!)
The seminar will begin with registration, continental breakfast and networking from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. The technical presentation will run approximately three hours beginning at 8:30 am. You are welcome to remain at the program’s conclusion and speak to one of the nonprofit tax experts from GRF.
