There are many challenges still ahead. Part one of the 3-part online workshop will provide insights to lessons learned and insights for adapting to the new normal going forward.
Melissa Musser, CPA, CITP, CISA | Principal, Risk & Advisory Services
Mrs. Musser is a principal at GRF CPAs & Advisors with over 15 years of professional experience. She and her team deliver comprehensive risk-based assessments to help organizations respond to strategic, financial, compliance, operational and IT risks. Her expertise includes establishing, maintaining and optimizing internal controls, compliance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and cybersecurity programs. Mrs. Musser is the proud recipient of the 2018 AICPA Information Management and Technology Assurance (IMTA) Standing Ovation award.
Alex McNeill | Bridges to Prosperity | Enterprise Risk Manager and Rwanda Program Director
Alex has worked with Bridges to Prosperity for the last 5 years, originally as the Nicaragua Program Manager and more recently in roles supporting organizational growth by managing programs of Health and Safety, Talent and Training, and is now serving a dual role as Enterprise Risk Manager and Rwanda Program Director. In August of 2019, Alex moved into the role of Enterprise Risk Manager to integrate his deep organizational knowledge and program management skills with best practice risk management to create a framework that proactively supports the achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives. This broad, enterprise level perspective translates well into his current role as the Rwanda Program Director, leading program operations.
Mark Beasley | KPMG Professor of Accounting & Director of the ERM Initiative NC State University
Mark Beasley is a Professor of Enterprise Risk Management and the Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative in the Poole College of Management. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Initiative provides thought leadership about ERM practices and their integration with strategy and corporate governance. As founding director, Dr. Beasley leads the ERM Initiative’s efforts to help pioneer the development of this emergent discipline through outreach to business professionals, with its ongoing ERM Roundtable Series and ERM Executive Education for boards and senior executives; research, advancing knowledge and understanding of ERM issues; and undergraduate and graduate business education for the next generation of business executives.
Additional workshops will be held on December 10, 2020 and March 4, 2021. To ensure our agendas address current issues, we will post details of the topics as we get closer to each workshop event.
