GRF is proud to sponsor and attend the 40th Annual Award Celebration presented by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement.
Nonprofits work hard meeting challenges, providing needed services and solutions, and working to strengthen and improve our communities. There’s little time to reflect on accomplishments, but it’s important to do so. Acknowledging successes can guide future endeavors and helps to re-energize and inspire us.
That’s why the Center holds an Annual Celebration. Each year, the region’s leaders come together to celebrate their own and each other’s achievements and hear from well-known and respected keynote guests. Past speakers have included Ted Leonsis, Shelia Johnson, Mark Shriver, Stacy Palmer, David Gregory, Bill Marriott, Tim McClimon and Soledad O’Brien.
This year, we welcome Ibram X. Kendi as the featured guest. Kendi is a New York Times bestselling author, the founding director of the Antiracist Research and Policy Center at American University, and columnist at The Atlantic. He is also the author of Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America and has recently published How to Be an Antiracist.
