Chesapeake Bay Foundation Presents DC on the Half Shell

GRF is pleased to sponsor and attend DC on the Half Shell presented by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) on March 18, 2024.

At the 2024 DC on the Half Shell, guests will spend the night listening to live music, enjoying gourmet cuisine, sampling local oysters, and most importantly, celebrating the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Clean Water Legacy Award recipient.

On March 18, 600+ of the region’s top philanthropists, legislative decision makers, and community leaders will join us as we recognize Senator Ben Cardin with the Clean Water Legacy Award. Together we will celebrate his extraordinary efforts to restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay.

Not only is this a celebration of the honoree but a celebration of the Bay’s most critical natural filter: the oyster. CBF invites oyster farmers from across the Chesapeake to serve an assortment of the finest (and sustainable!) oysters the Bay and its rivers have to offer. In addition to our oyster stations, we offer a full buffet dinner, passed hors d’oeuvres, and dessert buffet. DC on the Half Shell is a celebration of Chesapeake Bay flavors!

This event has helped CBF expand within the D.C. community, raise awareness of the importance of oysters, and raise more than $3.6 million toward saving the Bay. We hope you will join us for the 2024 DC on the Half Shell!
