Future-Proofing Your Organization: 2026 Cultural Governance & Leadership Series
GRF’s Melissa Musser and Christian Spencer will present at the American Public Gardens Association’s 2026 Cultural Governance and Leadership Series, a four-part program for board members and leaders at cultural nonprofits like gardens, zoos, and museums. The session offers a simple roadmap for modern risk management. They explain how enterprise risk management (ERM) helps nonprofits connect risk oversight to strategy, governance, and financial stability. The webinar covers today’s major risks—like cyber threats, unstable funding, regulations, staffing issues, and global and environmental uncertainty—and why managing risks in separate “silos” no longer works. They share practical ERM tools and examples, including how to set risk-based operating reserves using scenarios and risk appetite instead of relying only on benchmarks.
