Women on the Move: The Power of Women’s Networks

The Power of Women’s Networks Slide Deck

The pandemic forced many women to juggle a new set of challenges including shared work spaces at home, longer work days, unpredictable schedules, children learning remotely, and the general stress associated with social distancing, testing and vaccines. This hasn’t left much time for selfcare or for focusing on our careers. With increasing vaccination rates and booster shots now paving the way for a return to more in-person interaction, now is the time to refresh our networking skills, revisit our career goals and support each other in the new normal that awaits.

Join GRF’s Women on the Move for a virtual roundtable discussion on The Power of Supportive Women’s Networks. The event will include a keynote session from Amy Vetter, a CPA, Yogi, and Technologist, as well as break-out sessions for attendees to connect and learn from each other. During this session, Amy will share research and lessons learned from her own experience, and that from women she admires, on how to grow and learn at any stage of your career to achieve your goals.

No matter if you’re advanced in your career or just starting out, you will learn why it’s important for women to bring each other along on their professional journeys, and how to be more mindful in supporting and aligning with women who inspire you. To further support you in your career journey, you will learn powerful tools on how to discover and align your authentic self and inner talents with the work you do to create a greater sense of work-life harmony.

Learning objectives

  • How to create and nurture a supportive women’s network;
  • Why it’s important to manage up, not just down;
  • The power of finding or being a sponsor, not just a mentor;
  • The steps to create a greater sense of work-life harmony; and,
  • How to discover and align your authentic self and inner talents with the work you do.
