Terri McKnight, CPA, director of the audit department at Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, CPAs, has published a short essay about how nonprofit associations can avoid fraud by implementing effective policies and controls. Other nonprofits can benefit by taking similar steps.

Ms. McKnight’s essay will appear in a booklet of insights and advice for association leaders due to attend the American Society of Association Executives’ Great Ideas Conference in March 2011.
