Jorge Estrada, senior audit and nonprofit tax manager at Gelman, Rosenberg and Freedman, has been elected as the treasurer of The Next Step Public Charter School in Washington, DC as of May 2012.

The Next Step Public Charter School serves mostly Latino students between the ages of 16-24 and helps them prepare for the GED and guides them into the next step in their education or careers. The School has new plans to move into a new facility in August.

In his role as treasurer, Jorge will provide guidance and insight to the School regarding financial matters. Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman has been approved an as auditor for public charter schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan region over the past several years.
