Biography
Mark Sakats is a principal in the tax department at GRF CPAs & Advisors. He works with businesses and individual tax clients in managing U.S. federal, state, and foreign income tax compliance, and assists with tax provision disclosures under ASC 740 guidelines. He focuses on serving clients in the technology and personal service industries, with an emphasis on closely held businesses.
Mark enjoys working alongside clients to advise on tax planning and compliance needs in all stages of the business cycle. He has deep knowledge of multi-state taxation, international tax issues for U.S.-based multinationals, and income tax provisions and tax accounting. Clients appreciate his ability to communicate complex tax issues in simple terms. He is often invited to speak on tax planning topics and is regularly interviewed about tax-related matters, such as the recent tax bill changes that impact R&E tax strategies.
Mark brings more than 13 years of extensive tax experience working in both private industry and national public accounting firms. His experience includes significant roles at a global publicly traded company and publicly traded start up firm.
He holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bradley University.
