Employee Benefit Plan Specialist Jackie Cardello partnered with ERISA attorney Dan Brandenburg of Saul Ewing LLP and Dewayne Wilson and Linda de Ridder of United Retirement Plan Consultants, a third party administrator of employee retirement plans, to address concerns related to nonprofit retirement plans.
Ms. Cardello reviewed which retirement plans require audits, different Form 5500 filing requirements, common plan compliance issues, full-scope versus Department of Labor limited-scope audits, special considerations for first-time audits and employers’ responsibilities.
