The two new partners are Susanna (Sue) Chon, CPA, CFE, and Yevgeniy (Yev) Sukhenko, CPA.

Sue Chon, CPA, CFE has more than 15 years of experience providing financial review and audit services to government contractors. As part of the leadership team at GRF, Ms. Chon is involved in the firm’s women’s leadership initiative, Women on the Move, and in the firm’s Asian American Employee Resource Group. She also actively participates in guiding GRF’s internship and externship programs. Ms. Chon is actively involved in the accounting profession and in her community. She was a 2023 nominee for the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA) Women’s Leadership Innovator Award. She also serves on the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) GovCon committee and is actively engaged with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). In the community, Ms. Chon serves on the board of the Asian American Youth Leadership Empowerment and Development, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing future leaders and community empowerment.

Yev Sukhenko, CPA, joined GRF’s Outsourced Accounting & Advisory Services (OAAS) department in 2018. As a leader in OAAS, Mr. Sukhenko delivers comprehensive accounting solutions for a diverse client base, managing full and partial outsourced accounting engagements. He is an active member of the AICPA bringing substantial expertise in accounting to GRF. Internally, Mr. Sukhenko participates in the People and Culture Committee and actively contributes to the firm’s Technology Committee charged with evaluating accounting technologies for client use. He also leads a firmwide initiative on people development focused on creating objective performance metrics, improving feedback mechanisms, and advancing training and development that supports career success and longevity.
