Yevgeniy Sukhenko, CPA

Biography

As a Partner in GRF’s Outsourced Accounting & Advisory Services
department, Yevgeniy leads strategic client engagements with a
particular focus on nonprofit organizations, associations, and professional services firms. He helps clients strengthen their finance functions through CFO-level financial planning and analysis, accounting system implementations, process improvement, technology adoption, and long-term strategic planning.

Yevgeniy is passionate about using technology, automation, and emerging AI-enabled tools to help clients move beyond compliance and reporting toward deeper advisory relationships. He works with organizations to modernize accounting operations, improve visibility into financial performance, and design systems that support better decision-making. His experience includes platforms such as BILL, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Concur, Ramp, and Martus.

In addition to client service, Yevgeniy plays a significant role in people development and internal strategy at GRF. He leads the firm’s People First Strategic Pillar and helps guide recruiting, performance development, capacity planning, and career growth initiatives within GRF and the OAAS department. His leadership approach combines structured problem-solving, technical expertise, and a commitment to empowering colleagues to grow as trusted advisors.

Prior to joining GRF, Yevgeniy supervised financial statement assurance engagements for government contractors and technology companies. He also managed the corporate accounting function for a SaaS-based company and helped prepare it for a multi-year financial statement audit and accounting systems upgrade.
