Bethesda, MD, January 3, 2023 – GRF CPAs & Advisors (GRF), a leading provider of audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services worldwide, is pleased to announce that the firm has promoted Alejandra Jensen, CPA, CFE to partner effective January 1, 2023. Most recently serving as a senior manager in the firm’s audit services department, Ms. Jensen has worked at GRF since 2013.

“Alejandra is not only a champion of the accounting profession, she also embodies GRF’s core values of service, knowledge, and leadership,” said GRF’s President and Managing Partner, Jackie Cardello, CPA. “As a working mother with young children, Alejandra sets a great example for the future women leaders that she mentors and coaches at GRF.”

Since starting her career in public accounting in 2008, Ms. Jensen has built a reputation for serving as a key advisor to nonprofit organizations including foundations, trade associations, private voluntary organizations, and charitable institutions. Her nonprofit audit expertise includes proficiency in technical accounting issues, the requirements of Uniform Guidance, and employee benefit plan audits. She presents regularly to clients and at industry conferences sharing her knowledge of technical topics such as preparing for and implementing new accounting pronouncements.

Ms. Jensen’s leadership within the firm includes training and mentoring, the implementation of new technologies, and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Over the years, she has trained and mentored team members in the audit department as well as outside contractors, and she serves as a key member of the team leading the firm’s internship program. Comfortable with technology, Ms. Jensen was instrumental in helping the firm adopt new accounting software platforms including PPC Smart, AdvanceFlow, Suralink, and MindBridge. A champion for change, Ms. Jensen is also a founding committee member of GRF’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative.

In the community, Ms. Jensen volunteers her time as a board member of the Barnett Searing National Cancer Foundation. In recognition of her contributions to the profession and community service, Ms. Jensen was named a finalist for the 2022 Maryland Association of CPAs Women to Watch in the emerging leader category.
