Biography

Mr. Hurtado, CPA is an audit senior manager with GRF CPAs & Advisors. He has been working in the firm’s audit department since 2015 and has worked in accounting since 2009. Mr. Hurtado provides auditing services to an extensive number of nonprofit clients including charities, foundations, private schools, associations and International NGO. He travels frequently on behalf of the firm’s INGO to conduct attestation services including reviewing field office operations and internal controls.

Mr. Hurtado has extensive experience managing annual audits that require compliance with Title 2 U.S. Code of Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance), and works closely with client management to identify ways to strengthen policies and procedures around grant administration.

As a senior manager, he is responsible for managing staff and ensuring that his audits are completed accurately and in an efficient manner as well as drafting audit reports. Mr. Hurtado specializes in audit and tax, and has experience in preparing attestation services including audits, reviews and compilations.

Mr. Hurtado is a Certified Public Accountant. He continues to expand his expertise through continuing professional education and hands-on experience.
