Julie Hulem brings more than 15 years of experience in tax compliance and strategic tax planning for growth‑stage, venture‑backed companies with complex, multi‑entity operations. As a Partner in the For‑Profit Tax practice at GRF CPAs & Advisors, she leads and manages tax compliance and advisory engagements for corporate and flow‑through entities, supporting both organizational and founder‑level tax needs.
Over the past five years, Ms. Hulem has overseen the end‑to‑end tax compliance and planning process for clients operating across multiple jurisdictions and industries, with significant experience serving technology, professional services, real estate, and government‑contracting (GovCon) clients. Her work regularly involves coordinating federal, state, local and international tax filings.
Prior to joining GRF, Ms. Hulem spent 10 years at PwC, where she specialized in private equity tax compliance and advisory services. During her tenure at PwC, she developed deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, complex ownership structures, and the tax considerations of investment funds and portfolio companies, including international and multi‑state matters. This background enables her to effectively advise companies navigating rapid growth, evolving tax profiles, cross‑border considerations, and increasing regulatory scrutiny.
