GRF CPAs & Advisors (GRF) Senior Manager, Patricia (Tricia) Katebini, CPA, MBA has been elected to a three-year term on the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Joint Trial Board. With approximately 36 members, the Joint Trial Board is a hearing board of general original jurisdiction established under Section 3.6.2.3 of the AICPA bylaws to adjudicate alleged violations of the bylaws and/or code of professional conduct. The Board’s objective is to provide uniform enforcement of professional standards by adjudicating disciplinary charges against state society and AICPA members. “I am honored to work with the other members of the Joint Trial Board to uphold the standards and practices of the accounting profession,” said Ms. Katebini. Ms. Katebini’s term begins May 20, 2021.

An active member of AICPA since 2010, Ms. Katebini is a regular speaker on technical accounting and ethics topics for AICPA, MACPA, GWSCPA and other professional groups. She is also an MACPA Champion for the firm and has served on the Governmental and Not-for-Profit Conference Committee for the past several years. In addition to planning and managing her audits at GRF, Ms. Katebini plays a leadership role in the implementation of new standards, internal staff trainings and external presentation/webinars, and keeping GRF at the forefront of new technology to improve the audit process. She is also an active member of GRF’s women’s leadership committee, Women on the Move, and she serves as the Board President for Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services, Inc.
