Biography

Ms. McCahill has worked in public accounting for her entire career and possesses expertise in auditing and accounting for tax-exempt organizations. She is a frequent speaker on compliance with Uniform Guidance, and leads a seminar and webinar series aimed at bringing financial management education to Maryland, DC and Virginia nonprofits.

As a partner, Ms. McCahill is a valuable advisor to her clients on exempt org issues including best practices, revenue recognition, compliance with rules and regulations and much more. Her clients include associations, charitable institutions, political and religious institutions, international organizations, and multi-entity structured companies.

In addition to her role in the financial statement audit space, Ms. McCahill is the practice leader for the firms’ Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Practice. She coordinates audits and advisory work for almost 100 retirement plans across the firm that includes compliance, best practices, new technologies, and efficiencies in practice.

Internally, Ms. McCahill leads several initiatives within the audit department and across the firm extending to practice efficiencies, growth and diversification and new strategies. She assists in the departments’ learning and development initiatives and compliance oversight.
